Today I began the final pattern handout from attending Meg Swansen’s Knitting Camp back in June. The pattern was written by her mother, and is called “Norwegian Mittens”. Meg described as looking like a snow laden pine tree. I went non-traditional and chose a pale green for the tree and shocking pink as the background–looks very retro and gives a very old pattern a modern look. I extended the cuff and may have gotten carried away, but I have long arms and I was really enjoying the cuff patterns. Decide for yourself what you would do differently with the photo below. I am just starting the hand portion and will learn something EZ is calling the THUMB TRICK in the hand out. More to follow tomorrow.
For anyone who is interested, I have some sample socks knit in Opal yarn (matching pairs) for sale, $35 a pair. They will fit a ladies size 9 or larger.
Take care and Knit On!
