It is delightful, it is delovely, it is dewonderful, it is here.  The sock yarn called:  Smoochie, from The Great Adirondack Yarn Company in the colorway for the January “Sock” Club arrived.  My son says it looks like icicles and to me it is what January feels like.  The kits will be ready for subscribers this Monday.  There are only four spaces remaining for January and I am happy to ship the kit if you are interested.  Just send an email or call the studio.  The intent of the club is to keep your knitting stress free and fun, AND to bust up your stash a little each month by using something from your stash to knit the alternate pattern.  The kit will include enough yarn for a pair of socks, a sock pattern, a non-sock pattern, some sort of swag ( a little gift from me to you) and a technique card highlighting the technique featured in that month’s patterns.  You can join for one month or all twelve months.  Credit cards are accepted.  NOTE:  There will be a prize for the first person to complete the socks each month and a surprise for those people who complete their projects and bring them for me to see.  So, you want to see the yarn?  Check in with the blog on Monday my dears!

Brian Reese's Muffler

Alicia is busy knitting Encompass in the Red Ella Rae Classic chunky superwash wool…it is heathered with tones of black and grey and awesome.  Nancy Kolcharno is knitting a 2×2 ribbed shrug out of a lovely worsted weight yarn.  Brian Reese is forging ahead on his hat.   I am working on editing a pattern for Frog Tree Yarns, knitting the Selbuvoter mittens, and am ready to swatch the alternate pattern for the first month of the Summit Yarn Sock Club…an ultra easy knit every row shetland lace scarf designed with the beginning lace knitter in mind.
