Square #14: SCOTCH STRIPE STITCH PATTERN

It was a fun knit and easy to keep track of what I was supposed to be doing…even when I put the knitting down and came back to it later.  This is a wonderful play on texture, an adaptation of basketweave stitch and/or moss stitch.  With appropriately placed purl stitches to give it a ribbed texture, this would turn into a great sock.  Have fun and always let me know what you think!

loads of love, light and laughter always,  Mary Ellen

p.s.  Gerrie — that was not Sinfonia yesterday…it was a photo from “I can haz cheezburger” ( a website with funny pictures and videos).  also:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3iFhLdWjqc   or search cats playing pat-a-cake0

p.p.s go to youtube and search for a video called “THE LAST KNIT” — none of us agree with the ending…clearly made by a non-knitter…who would ever throw their knitting needles away?
