…that Great Danes give hugs. I met Liz and her baby, Lucy–a charming Great Dane. Of course Lucy and I had kisses (I did shake hands with Liz) and Lucy turned and leaned her whole enormous body into me. What a sweet girl. I bent over to see if we could shake on our new friendship and I received to my utter and complete astonishment a Great Dane Hug. Her front paws on my shoulders and her head way above mine. I am well and truly in love with my new friend. Liz is really nice, too!

The post brought a new knitting book by Kate Davies, called–Colours of Shetland. It is marvelous and so much more than just a book of patterns. I highly recommend you order it ASAP as it is sure to sell out. If you do happen to get it and would like to do a KAL then let me know!

This week also brought new ColinetteYarn in both a DK weight and a bulky weight with a wonderful sheen. What Colours you ask? Please come in and see! We also just received a shipment of new Opal sock yarn–2 balls each of five colors–something to suit everyone’s taste. On its way are the final three colors of Simpliworsted (a burnt orange, Concord grape, and a forest green). We are six squares into the blanket, which puts us at the half-way point! Yay!

Lets end today with a good photo:
