This is an earlier cousin of Crystal Stitch (see Barbara Walker Volume II, p. 266) based on an even number of stitches instead of the odd number of stitches in BWII. You will see a trellis and diamonds in stockinette stitch form as you do this section. It is beautiful and addictive. Photo tomorrow. If you have more yarn than I called for (500-600 yards) then you can do five repeats of this for a larger project bag.

NEW YARN JUST IN: Noro in new blends, a new sock yarn, and a Plymouth Encore equivalent for $6.50 a ball in four colors. I also have color cards in case you would like to special order colors I did not select.

Take care and knit on with fortitude!
