Sally Cameron, known on the fiber artist social network Ravelry (GO get your free account NOW), has released her newest pattern today in conjunction with the amazing South African hand dyer, Carle Dehning. I had the pleasure of test knitting this delightful shawl with a secret…how to make the stripes in striping yarn stay even as the stitches of the shawl increase! It took me three days to knit and the pattern was easy to memorize so I could visit AND knit. This is sure to be a pattern I will make more than once…especially for gifts.

There are three colors available — the green above, a red/charcoal, and a grey charcoal — all self-striping yarn. There are 350 yards per ball of this amazing and soft sock weight yarn (have made two pair of socks so far and they are washing and wearing great!). One ball is $22 and you may order from one or all three colors, as you will see that I have. Please note these are available for a limited time only and will not be repeated. Go to the Nurturing Fibers Group, under the Pattern Club Thread and it will tell you how to “me please” an order.

Go, go now. XX M.E. Langieri and Summit Yarn
