Here are the first four rounds after the cuff is completed — you will need two stitch markers to show where the insertion pattern belongs — the reason for the markers will be most obvious with the next installment.

Your beginning of round is at the center back of the leg:
Round 1: (K2, P2) x 4, place marker, P1, ssk, (YO, K1) x 3, YO, K2tog, P1, place marker,
(K2, P2) x 8.

Round 2: (K2, P2) x 4, slip marker, P1, K9, P1, sm, (K2, P2) x 8.

Round 3: (K2, P2) x 4, sm, P1, ssk, K5, K2tog, P1, sm, (K2, P2) x 8.

Round 4: (K2, P2) x 4, sm, P1, K7, P1, sm, (K2, P2) x 8.
